Ordering & Pricing
We work directly with the same factories that produce for luxury brands — cutting out distributors, retailers, and showroom overhead. Our AI-driven, made-to-order model means zero wasted inventory. Every dollar you save is a middleman we removed.
Everything. Your price includes the custom-made blind, motorized or manual controls, all mounting hardware, a rechargeable battery (for motorized), and free shipping. It also includes our free in-home verification visit — something most brands charge $150+ for.
Yes. Orders of 3 or more blinds automatically receive a bundle discount at checkout. For whole-home projects of 10+ windows, contact us directly at hello@casalumeshades.com for custom pricing.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna (buy now, pay later), Affirm (monthly installments), and Amazon Pay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Absolutely. At checkout, select Klarna or Affirm to split your purchase into interest-free monthly payments. Approval takes seconds and won't affect your credit score.
Measurements & Verification
Measure the width and height of your window opening in inches. For inside mount, measure the inside of the frame at three points (top, middle, bottom) and use the smallest measurement. For outside mount, add 2–3 inches on each side. Don't worry about being exact — our verification visit catches any discrepancies before manufacturing. After you place your order, we schedule a free in-home visit where a Casa Lume specialist confirms every measurement, inspects the mounting surface, verifies the control type, and answers any questions. Your blinds are only manufactured after this verification. It takes about 20 minutes and is included free with every order.
That's exactly why we do the verification visit. If our specialist finds any discrepancy between your order and the actual window, we adjust the specifications before manufacturing — at no cost to you. You'll never receive blinds that don't fit.
Yes, someone 18 or older needs to be present. The visit takes about 20 minutes. You'll choose your preferred date and time slot when scheduling — we offer mornings, midday, and afternoon appointments on weekdays.
Inside mount installs within the window frame for a clean, built-in look. It requires at least 1.5 inches of depth. Outside mount attaches above or around the frame, covering the entire window — ideal for better light blocking or when frame depth is limited. Our specialist will recommend the best option during your verification visit.
Products & Materials
Five collections: Roller Shades (clean, minimal), Zebra Shades (alternating sheer and opaque bands), Roman Shades (soft fabric folds), Bamboo Shades (natural woven wood), and Cellular Shades (honeycomb insulation). Each comes in multiple fabrics, colors, and opacity levels.
Three levels depending on the shade type. Sheer lets soft light through while maintaining privacy. Light-filtering diffuses direct sunlight — great for living rooms. Blackout blocks 99%+ of light — ideal for bedrooms and media rooms. Our product pages show exactly what each opacity looks like.
Yes. We use OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified fabrics wherever possible, which means they've been independently tested for harmful substances. Our bamboo collection uses FSC-certified wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. All materials are child-safe with no exposed cords.
Our product configurator shows each color in a realistic room setting, with close-up texture views and full-window previews. If you're still unsure, our specialist can bring fabric samples to your verification visit — just mention it when scheduling.
Roller and Zebra shades go up to 96" wide and 108" tall. Roman and Cellular shades go up to 72" wide and 96" tall. Bamboo shades go up to 84" wide and 96" tall. For larger windows, we can do side-by-side installations for a seamless look.
Motorization & Smart Home
No. Every Casa Lume motorized blind runs on a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. No wiring, no electrician, no construction. You install the blind with basic mounting brackets and a screwdriver — it takes about 15 minutes per window.
6 to 12 months on a single charge, depending on usage. For a blind that opens and closes once daily, expect closer to 12 months. Heavy use (multiple adjustments per day) will be closer to 6 months. Recharging takes about 4 hours with the included USB-C cable.
Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit — all work natively with no additional hub required. Connect via Wi-Fi, set schedules, create scenes, and control everything by voice. Setup takes under 5 minutes with our step-by-step guide.
Yes. Every motorized blind comes with a physical remote control. You can also use voice commands through any smart speaker, or set automated schedules that run without any input at all. The app is optional, not required.
Yes. Through the app or your smart home platform, you can create groups (like "Living Room" or "All Blinds") and control them simultaneously with a single command or tap. You can also set different schedules for different rooms.
Every shade type is available with manual controls — bead chain, cord loop, or continuous loop depending on the style. Manual options are significantly less expensive and still feature the same premium fabrics and custom sizing.
Installation
Surprisingly easy. Mount two brackets with the included screws (a drill helps but isn't required), snap the blind into the brackets, and you're done. Average installation time is 15 minutes per window. We include illustrated instructions and a video guide.
We're working on a professional installation network. In the meantime, our blinds are designed for straightforward DIY installation. If you'd prefer help, any local handyperson can install them — no specialized tools or skills required.
A Phillips head screwdriver and a pencil for marking. A drill makes it faster but isn't necessary. A step stool or ladder for high windows. That's it. All mounting hardware, brackets, and screws are included in the box.
Yes. Our mounting brackets work on wood, drywall (with included anchors), and most other common surfaces. For concrete, tile, or metal frames, you may need specialty anchors — our verification specialist will note this during your visit.
Shipping & Delivery
After your verification visit, your custom blinds are manufactured to your exact specifications and shipped directly to your door. Total time from verification to delivery is typically 3–4 weeks. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
Yes, always. Free standard shipping on every order, no minimum. We ship via FedEx Ground to all 50 US states.
Not yet. We currently ship to all 50 US states. International shipping is on our roadmap for 2027. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when we expand.
Each blind is individually wrapped in protective foam, placed inside a custom-fit cardboard box with corner guards, and shipped in recyclable packaging made from post-consumer materials. We've stress-tested our packaging to arrive in perfect condition.
Returns & Warranty
Because every blind is custom-made and verified to fit, returns due to sizing issues are virtually nonexistent. If there's a defect in materials or workmanship, we'll replace it free of charge within 30 days. If you're genuinely not happy with your purchase, contact us — we'll work with you to make it right.
Every Casa Lume blind comes with a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, motor failure, and fabric defects under normal use. The motor specifically carries a 5-year warranty. Battery degradation beyond 50% capacity within 2 years is also covered.
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We'll ship a replacement immediately at no cost — no need to return the damaged unit first. We handle the carrier claim on our end.
Yes. Batteries, remotes, mounting brackets, and charging cables are all available as individual parts through our support team. If your motor needs service within warranty, we'll send a replacement at no charge.
Privacy & Safety
Yes. All Casa Lume blinds are cordless or feature child-safe cord designs that comply with ANSI/WCMA A100.1 safety standards. Motorized blinds have no exposed cords whatsoever. Manual options use enclosed cord loops or wand controls.
Your blinds connect to your home Wi-Fi network and communicate via encrypted protocols. We don't collect usage data, don't sell personal information, and don't require an account to use the basic remote. The smart features are opt-in, not mandatory.
